Ngamba Island, sanctuary and home to 49 orphaned chimps rescued from the illegal pet trade and bushmeat trade. This Chimpanzee, an old soul and a deep thinker, was captured after figuring out how to jump over the electric fence that separates them from humans on the island. Now serving a life sentence (again) for being clever, curious and seeking freedom from the confines of the sanctuary. The heartbreaking irony! Resigned to never being able to live in freedom again.
