Grevy's Zebras have experienced the most substantial reduction due to habitat loss and competition for resources with cattle and livestock. Hunting for their striking skins, meat and pseudo medicinal purposes are additional reasons for their ravaging decline. With only 2,800 Grevy's alive today, they are endangered and on the Red List of Threatened Species.
